Hummer Turfgrass was the proud turf provider for the Bowie Baysox, the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, based out of Bowie, MD. Our team performed a full renovation to their unique sand-based field. After removing the existing surface, sand was brought in to till into the rootzone. Following this, we will be laser grading the field to prepare for sod. After grading we tilled in a combination of fertilizers to the sand to better promote root growth. Finally, we installed new sod just in time for it to turn green for their 2024 season.
