Lehigh University is a long-standing and repeat client of Hummer Turfgrass Systems. Over an eight-year period, we built and renovated three of their stadium fields, all with the Sand Grid Drainage System.
Murray H. Goodman Stadium
Stadium Football field that was reconstructed after excavation work was completed to flatten the field surface. The new field system includes irrigation, Sand Grid Drainage and Sand Based Bluegrass Sod.
Ulrich Field
The challenge on this project was to preserve the existing grass surface and correct the drainage issues that plagued the field. The solution was the Sand Grid Drainage System which was installed without damaging the grass playing surface. An automatic irrigation system was also installed during the renovation.
Leadership Park Softball Stadium
The new surface includes Sand Grid Drainage, automatic irrigation and sand based Kentucky Bluegrass sod. The infield and bullpens consist of professional level materials.
